‘Iron Chef’ competition will highlight National Eating Healthy Day

The competition will take place on Wednesday, November 7 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Vanguard MacNeal Hospital. Each chef will prepare one appetizer or dessert and one main dish. Participants will receive a healthy pantry list prior to the competition but the “secret” ingredient will be unveiled on the day of the event. The top dish and chef will be highlighted on the American Heart Association’s local website www.heart.org/chicago, and an adaptation of the recipe will be featured at a future Cooking with Meijer event at the Meijer Marketplace in Berwyn.
