For the past 23 years, the Berwyn Preservation of Historic Route 66 Committee of the BDC has hosted the Historic Route 66 Car Show, which is held on Berwyn’s stretch of Ogden Avenue. Berwyn has always been a great Route 66 town with a thriving, dynamic and fast-growing community at its heart. The Route 66 Car Show proves very successful with an estimated crowd of approximately 10,000 residents and visitors each year.

Stand on Historic Route 66 and see over 500 vintage and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles. The event also features thrilling displays such as appearances by drag racing professionals (past attendees have included Dale Creasy, Jr. and the legendary Chris Karamesines), automobile flamethrowing, live music, and a color guard procession. The event is free to spectators. For those seeking an early peek, vehicles start their procession to their parking spots around 7:00 am. The event officially runs from 10am-4pm on Saturday, September 7.

For those interested in displaying their vehicles, visit Route 66 Car Show for registration information. Registered participants receive a t-shirt, dash plaque and goodie bag with completed registration. “Fun” awards are also doled out in a wide variety of categories with names including “B-B-B-Bad to the Bone,” “Hog Heaven,” “Impressive Import,” “Hot Hauler,” “Pleasantly Preserved,” and “Slo & Lo” to name a few.

Parking: Local side streets and the Berwyn Municipal Garage located at 3300 S Grove Ave, a short 3-block walk to the show venue.
